A. Pengertian Future Perfect Tense

Future Perfect Tense adalah bentuk tense yang digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kegiatan atau keadaan yang akan sudah selesai atau sudah terjadi sebelum waktu tertentu di masa depan.

Contoh:

I will have finished my homework by 8 p.m.

Artinya:
Saya akan sudah menyelesaikan pekerjaan rumah saya sebelum pukul 8 malam.

Perhatikan:

• will → menunjukkan masa depan
• have → bagian dari Future Perfect
• finished → V3

B. Fungsi Future Perfect Tense

1. Menyatakan kegiatan yang akan selesai sebelum waktu tertentu di masa depan

She will have finished her work by 5 p.m.
= Dia akan sudah menyelesaikan pekerjaannya sebelum pukul 5 sore.

2. Menyatakan kegiatan yang akan selesai sebelum kegiatan lain terjadi

They will have left before you arrive.
= Mereka akan sudah pergi sebelum kamu tiba.

3. Menyatakan pencapaian yang akan sudah terjadi pada masa depan

By next year, I will have graduated from junior high school.
= Pada tahun depan, saya akan sudah lulus dari sekolah menengah pertama.

4. Menyatakan keadaan yang akan sudah berlangsung sampai waktu tertentu

By 2030, he will have been a teacher for ten years.
= Pada tahun 2030, dia akan sudah menjadi guru selama sepuluh tahun.

C. Rumus Future Perfect Verbal

Verbal sentence adalah kalimat yang menggunakan kata kerja utama.

1. Positive

Subject + will have + V3 + Object/Complement

Contoh:

I will have finished my homework.
= Saya akan sudah menyelesaikan pekerjaan rumah saya.

She will have cleaned the classroom.
= Dia akan sudah membersihkan kelas.

2. Negative

Subject + will not have + V3 + Object/Complement

Bentuk singkat:

Subject + won’t have + V3

Contoh:

I will not have finished my homework.
= Saya belum akan menyelesaikan pekerjaan rumah saya.

He won’t have completed the project.
= Dia belum akan menyelesaikan proyek tersebut.

3. Interrogative

Will + Subject + have + V3 + Object/Complement?

Contoh:

Will you have finished your homework?
= Apakah kamu akan sudah menyelesaikan pekerjaan rumahmu?

Will she have cleaned the classroom?
= Apakah dia akan sudah membersihkan kelas?

D. Future Perfect Verbal Berdasarkan Subject

Penting: semua subject menggunakan will have.

Tidak berubah menjadi has.

❌ She will has finished.
✅ She will have finished.

E. Contoh Future Perfect Verbal

Positive

1. I will have finished my homework by 8 p.m.
   = Saya akan sudah menyelesaikan pekerjaan rumah saya sebelum pukul 8 malam.
2. You will have learned this lesson by tomorrow.
   = Kamu akan sudah mempelajari pelajaran ini besok.
3. He will have eaten dinner by 7 p.m.
   = Dia akan sudah makan malam sebelum pukul 7 malam.
4. She will have written the letter by tomorrow.
   = Dia akan sudah menulis surat itu sebelum besok.
5. We will have completed the project by Friday.
   = Kami akan sudah menyelesaikan proyek itu sebelum Jumat.
6. They will have arrived at school by 7 a.m.
   = Mereka akan sudah tiba di sekolah sebelum pukul 7 pagi.

F. Negative Future Perfect Verbal

1. I will not have finished the book by Friday.
   = Saya belum akan menyelesaikan buku itu sebelum Jumat.
2. He will not have completed the task by tomorrow.
   = Dia belum akan menyelesaikan tugas itu sebelum besok.
3. She won’t have arrived by 8 a.m.
   = Dia belum akan tiba sebelum pukul 8 pagi.
4. We won’t have finished the project by Monday.
   = Kami belum akan menyelesaikan proyek itu sebelum Senin.
5. They will not have cleaned the classroom by noon.
   = Mereka belum akan membersihkan kelas sebelum tengah hari.

G. Interrogative Future Perfect Verbal

1. Will you have finished your homework by tonight?
   = Apakah kamu akan sudah menyelesaikan pekerjaan rumahmu malam ini?
2. Will he have arrived by 7 p.m.?
   = Apakah dia akan sudah tiba sebelum pukul 7 malam?
3. Will she have completed the project by Friday?
   = Apakah dia akan sudah menyelesaikan proyek tersebut sebelum Jumat?
4. Will they have left the school by noon?
   = Apakah mereka akan sudah meninggalkan sekolah sebelum tengah hari?

H. WH-Question Future Perfect

Rumus:

WH-word + will + Subject + have + V3…?

= Apa yang akan sudah kamu selesaikan besok?

Where

Where will they have gone by noon?
= Ke mana mereka akan sudah pergi sebelum tengah hari?

When

When will she have completed the project?
= Kapan dia akan sudah menyelesaikan proyek tersebut?

How many

How many books will you have read by the end of the year?
= Berapa banyak buku yang akan sudah kamu baca pada akhir tahun?

I. Future Perfect Nominal

Nominal sentence digunakan ketika tidak ada kata kerja utama setelah will have.

Dalam Future Perfect nominal, kita menggunakan:

will have been

Kemudian diikuti:

• adjective
• noun
• keterangan tertentu

Rumus:

Positive:

S + will have been + Complement

Negative:

S + will not have been + Complement

J. Future Perfect Nominal + Adjective

Positive

I will have been ready by 7 a.m.
= Saya akan sudah siap sebelum pukul 7 pagi.

She will have been tired by the evening.
= Dia akan sudah lelah pada sore/malam hari.

They will have been busy by tomorrow.
= Mereka akan sudah sibuk besok.

Negative

I will not have been ready by 7 a.m.
= Saya belum akan siap sebelum pukul 7 pagi.

She will not have been tired by the evening.
= Dia belum akan lelah pada sore/malam hari.

Interrogative

Will you have been ready by 7 a.m.?
= Apakah kamu akan sudah siap sebelum pukul 7 pagi?

Will they have been busy by tomorrow?
= Apakah mereka akan sudah sibuk besok?

K. Future Perfect Nominal + Noun

Contoh:

He will have been a teacher for ten years by 2030.
= Dia akan sudah menjadi guru selama sepuluh tahun pada tahun 2030.

She will have been a student for three years by next June.
= Dia akan sudah menjadi seorang siswa selama tiga tahun pada Juni depan.

I will have been a member of this club for five years by 2028.
= Saya akan sudah menjadi anggota klub ini selama lima tahun pada tahun 2028.

Negative

He will not have been a teacher for ten years by 2030.
= Dia belum akan menjadi guru selama sepuluh tahun pada tahun 2030.
