L. Future Perfect dengan “By”

By sangat sering digunakan dalam Future Perfect.

By + waktu masa depan

Contoh:

I will have finished the work by tomorrow.
= Saya akan sudah menyelesaikan pekerjaan itu sebelum besok.

She will have arrived by 6 p.m.
= Dia akan sudah tiba sebelum pukul 6 sore.

Contoh lain:

• by tomorrow = sebelum/besok
• by tonight = sebelum malam ini
• by Friday = sebelum Jumat
• by next week = sebelum minggu depan
• by next month = sebelum bulan depan
• by next year = sebelum tahun depan
• by 2030 = sebelum/pada tahun 2030
• by the end of the day = sebelum akhir hari
• by the end of the month = sebelum akhir bulan
• by the end of the year = sebelum akhir tahun

M. Future Perfect dengan “By the Time”

By the time berarti pada saat/sebelum saat.

Contoh:

By the time you arrive, I will have finished my homework.

= Pada saat kamu tiba, saya akan sudah menyelesaikan pekerjaan rumah saya.

By the time the teacher comes, the students will have entered the classroom.

= Pada saat guru datang, para siswa akan sudah masuk ke kelas.

By the time we get there, they will have left.

= Pada saat kita sampai di sana, mereka akan sudah pergi.

N. Future Perfect dengan “Before”

Before = sebelum.

She will have finished cooking before her parents arrive.

= Dia akan sudah selesai memasak sebelum orang tuanya tiba.

They will have completed the work before the teacher checks it.

= Mereka akan sudah menyelesaikan pekerjaan itu sebelum guru memeriksanya.

O. Future Perfect dengan “After”

After = setelah.

After I have finished my homework, I will relax.

= Setelah saya menyelesaikan pekerjaan rumah, saya akan bersantai.

Namun, jika fokusnya adalah kegiatan yang sudah selesai sebelum kegiatan lain di masa depan, Future Perfect dapat digunakan:

After she will have finished the test, she will leave the classroom.

Dalam penggunaan bahasa Inggris yang lebih alami, biasanya:

After she has finished the test, she will leave the classroom.

= Setelah dia selesai mengerjakan tes, dia akan meninggalkan kelas.

P. V3 yang Sering Digunakan

Karena Future Perfect menggunakan V3, siswa perlu memahami past participle.

Contoh:

She will have written the report by Friday.

will + have + written (V3)

= Dia akan sudah menulis laporan itu sebelum Jumat.

Q. Perbedaan Future Simple dan Future Perfect

Future Simple

I will finish my homework tomorrow.

= Saya akan menyelesaikan pekerjaan rumah saya besok.

Fokus: kegiatan akan dilakukan.

Future Perfect

I will have finished my homework by tomorrow.

= Saya akan sudah menyelesaikan pekerjaan rumah saya sebelum/besok.

Fokus: kegiatan akan sudah selesai pada waktu tersebut.

R. Perbedaan Simple Past, Present Perfect, dan Future Perfect

Perhatikan waktunya:

Past → sudah terjadi di masa lalu.

Present Perfect → sudah terjadi dan berkaitan dengan sekarang.

Future Perfect → akan sudah selesai di masa depan.

T. Kesalahan yang Sering Terjadi

1. Salah menggunakan V2

❌ She will have went home.

✅ She will have gone home.

Karena setelah have harus menggunakan V3.

2. Menggunakan “has”

❌ He will has finished the work.

✅ He will have finished the work.

Setelah will, gunakan have, bukan has.

3. Lupa “been” pada nominal

❌ She will have ready.

✅ She will have been ready.

Karena kalimat nominal menggunakan:
